When possible, we provide privately-owned affordable housing and our rental options include single-family units, apartments and mobile homes.
We find that those seniors who choose to rent are often free of many of the financial burdens and physical responsibilities that impact homeowners. They’re also potentially eligible for subsidized housing under regulations like Section 8.
For those who already have housing, we work to assist older adults in securing funding that can remove potential health and safety hazards. These adjustments may include things like necessary repairs, modernizing an older home, making a home more energy-efficient to save on heating and cooling costs or making a home more accessible for older people with disabilities or special needs.
